Creating a foundation of strength, balance, and confidence as a foundation for all sports and the rest of their lives.
Our goal is that each child, regardless of ability, will have a positive experience learning new things. Laughter and friends are a big part of creating this positive experience.
We have a separate gym
with equipment just their size!
Our curriculum allows for the flexibility that acknowledges that children develop at different rates.
This class is a fun bonding activity for you and your child. Our lessons are designed to provide developmentally appropriate large muscle movement with fine motor activities to keep your child entertained and active. We recommend joining our program once your child has started taking steps, as a large majority of the class involves crawling and climbing.
Preschool: 2 year olds (50 minutes)
This is our transition class from parent-led to being independent. The goal of this class is for each child to begin to learn classroom etiquette and work on color and shape recognition. Your child will be encouraged to try new skills increasing self-confidence while improving fine and gross motor skills. Some specific skills we focus on are being able to follow the leader with different body positions, listening to instructions, and gaining control over their body. Things like balancing, climbing, weight bearing on their hands, standing on their toes, rocking back and forth, rolling over, and jumping with 2 feet.
Preschool: 3 year olds (60 minutes) – Mini Mo
This class is geared to fine-tune those motor skills in addition to balance and coordination. As well as improving their school skills with things like lining up, taking turns and sorting letters and numbers.
Some specific skills we focus on are running forward and backward, holds on bars, keeping arms overhead, standing on one foot, beginner releve walks, rolling in different directions, and safe landing position. We also begin to introduce proper gymnastics terminology during class.
Preschool: 4 year olds (60 minutes) – Mighty Mo
This class is meant to grow your child’s flexibility and strength along with adding to those existing motor skills. We aim to assist in preparing them for school by practicing taking turns, counting, and collaborative games with peers. Some specific skills we focus on are splits and kneeling lunges, beginner bridge, starting in a lunge for cartwheels, donkey kicks, rebounding out of skills, assisted pullovers, glide swings, and walking in different directions on beam. We also continue to build on the proper gymnastics terminology being used during class.
Preschool: 2.5 year olds (50 MINUTES) – Mini Shock Cheer
Our preschool, 2.5 to 4 year old, classes are designed to introduce your child to an active class in which they can learn classroom etiquette, body awareness and basic cheerleading. Our goal is that your child will associate fitness with fun, and learn how to participate in a class with other preschool students. Your child will be encouraged to try new skills and activities, increasing self-confidence in the process.
This program is invitation only for girls ages 3-6 who have demonstrated exceptional execution and understanding of skills as well as focus during class. We work on flexibility, strength, and perfecting those foundational skills to carry them through their gymnastics career. We offer daily challenges to assist in your child making forward progress.
We love Momentum! Both of my daughters are in their All Star cheer program. The coaches are caring while also leading their athletes to progress in their skills. I have seen my daughters’ confidence grow exponentially. If you’re looking for a gym that makes you feel like family, this is it.Missy Crabbe
